Day 1 Guwahati Airport / Rly Station – Shillong (100 kms / 03 hrs.)

On arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station & transfer to Shillong (4,900 ft.), called 'Scotland of the East". Enroute visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel & visit some places like:- 

 

  • Shillong Peak: The Shillong peak stands massively 2000 mtr above the sea level. It is one of the highest points in the state which offers a breathtaking bird’s eye view of the city.
  • Elephant Falls: Named after an Elephant like stone at its foot, the Elephant Falls are amongst the most popular falls in the North-East, situated next to Shillong. It is a tourists' paradise with three layers of the falls accessible to the layman from different vantage points. The Britishers named this fall so owing to the presence of an elephant-shaped rock on one side of the fall. However, the stone disintegrated and was washed away due to an earthquake in 1897. Elephant Waterfalls is a superb place for spending some time in the midst of nature while capturing the incredible moments for your keepsake.

 

Then back to your hotel & Overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 2 Shillong to Cherrapunjee (60 kms / 2-3 hrs. One Way)

After early breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world. You will see the beautiful waterfall known as Nohkalikai. You can also explore the caves known as Mawsmai, Living Root Bridge & check into your hotel & overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.

Day 3 Cherrapunjee to Excursion to Mawlynnong & Dawki to Guwahati

After early breakfast drive to Mawlynnong – “Asia’s Cleanest Village”. Mawlynnong offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another small rock. Later proceed to Dawki, a small town near India Bangladesh border. Enjoy breathtaking view of the Umangot River. Evening drive back to Guwahati. Stay overnight at your hotel in Guwahati.

Day 4 Guwahati – Bhalukpong (241 kms / 07 hrs.)

After breakfast check out from the hotel & proceed for Ma Kamakhya Mandir at 4 am then proceed for Bhalukpong & visit some sightseeing point like:-

  • Sessa Orcid Sanctuary:-  Sessa orchid sanctuary is in located in the west of Kameng district this orchid sanctuary should be there on your list if you are visiting Arunachal Pradesh. The Sessa orchid sanctuary is home to more than 200 ieties of orchid.The temperature there helps them grow. The landscape has mountains surrounding and rich flora and fauna. It is also a biodiversity hotspot. The sanctuary is stretched over 100 sq. km and is connects Bomdila and Bhalukpong.

 Then check into your hotel & overnight stay at Bhalukpong.

Day 5 Bhalukpong to Dhirang (139 Kms / 5 Hrs)

After Breakfast proceed for Dhirang, enroute visit the sightseeing point of Dhirang 

  • National Research Center on Yak:  The National Research Centre on Yak is located amidst the Eastern Himalayan ranges. Founded by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, the center is responsible for conserving Indian Yak. The yak firm belonging to this centre is located 31 km away from Dirang. Researches on genetic resources and problems associated with yak production are conducted here. Improving yak and yak products are part of an agenda of the centre. National Research Centre on Yak is open for tourists’ visits on permission.
  • Dhirang Dozong:  Dirang Dzong, which is a tribal area, is on the shores of Dirang River. The architecture of the tribal colony is stunning. Some of the houses are over 500 years old. The houses were built to sustain the hostile weather in the region. The foundation of these houses is of stone and the walls and roof are built of wood. Dzong, as the fort is referred to comprises this settlement and it inspires you with its architecture, which is an influence of Buddhist kingdoms. Though the fort is now in ruins, the ruins are proof of architectural excellence of the olden days. Views from Dirang Dzong are spectacular.
  • Hot Water Spring:   Hot Water Spring is yet another favorite spot for tourists. Flowing from nearby hills, the Hot Water Spring falls into River Dirang. Rich in sulphur content and praised for its curative powers, Hot Water Spring attracts large number of tourist.
  • Sangti Valley:-  Sangti Valley is situated 7 km away from Dirang. The location of Sangti Valley is beyond description. It is surrounded by Eastern Himalayan ranges and you will find this area rich in dense forest & Rivers.
  • Kalchakra Gompa:-  Kalachakra Gompa, which refers to a monastery, is located above Kalachakra, a village in Dirang. This monastery is over 500 years old. It is frequented by those who follow Buddhism as well as others who love the serene atmosphere.

Then check into your hotel & overnight stay at Dhirang.

Day 6 Dhirang to Tawang:- (128 Kms / 5 Hrs)

After relishing a wholesome breakfast, proceed for a drive to Tawang and continue to reach the scenic Sela Pass, the only way that connects Tawang district of the state to the rest of the country. Besides its geographical importance Sela Pass is breathtaking place always covered in snow providing some beautiful views of the eastern Himalayan range. En-route visit famous Sela Lake. Upon reaching Tawang, check in to your hotel. Have a pleasant overnight stay at the Hotel/Homestay in Tawang. 

Day 7 Excursion PTSO Lake to Bumla Pass & Madhuri Lake-- Tawang:-

Post breakfast, start your day with breathtaking view of Shonga-tser Lake (Madhuri Lake), surrounded by snow- capped mountains and the valley offer a spectacular view. Next move on to Bum La Pass about 37 kms away from Tawang, it is the indo-china border that lies at 15,200 ft above sea level. On your way back stop by heart lake, PTSO lakeNaghula lake, which will surely make your day. After this return to your hotel for comfortable overnight stay in Tawang. (Madhuri Lake & Bumla Pass tour could be done on additional cost).  

Day 8 Tawang to Bomdila:- (171 Kms / 5 Hrs)

Post breakfast, we will move on to Bomdila. Pay a visit to Bomdila Monastery, which was established in the year of 1965. Explore over 5000 orchid varieties including some rarest species of orchid in Tipi Orchidarium. This will be shown to you on the next day. In Bomdila, have a spectacular view from Bomdila View Point, witness impeccable beauty of Bomdila. In the evening enjoy visiting local market. Afterwards retune to your hotel for the overnight stay in Bomdila.  

Day 9 Bomdila to Kaziranga:- (204 Kms / 6 Hrs)

Today after early breakfast Transfer to Kaziranga National Park: Kaziranga National Park is a protected area in the northeast Indian state of Assam. Spread across the floodplains of the Brahmaputra River, its forests, wetlands and grasslands are home to tigers, elephants and the world’s largest population of Indian one-horned rhinoceroses. Ganges River dolphins swim in the park’s waters. It’s visited by many rare migratory birds, and gray pelicans roost near Kaziranga village. After arrival at Kaziranga check into your hotel & overnight stay.

Day 10 Kaziranga to Guwahati Drop:-

This day after early Jungle safari (5 AM) proceed for Guwahati airport for homeward journey.

30 Days or more before departure: 25% of the Total Cost
30-15 Days Before departure: 75% of the Total Cost
Less than 15 days before departure: 100% of the Total Cost
