On arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station our representative will receive you and transfer you to
Shillong (4,900 ft.), called 'Scotland of the East". Enroute visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel & visit some places like:

With its seven storeys, it rises into the skyline of Shillong and flaunts 16 laid out galleries that showcase artefacts, paintings, figures significant to the Northeastern culture. Not only do these provide a feast to the eyes of the visitors, but also give an insight into the lifestyle of the North-Eastern people.

After breakfast proceed to cherrapunjee enroute visit:-
Shillong Peak: The Shillong peak stands massively 2000 mtr above the sea level. It is one of the highest points in the state which offers a breathtaking bird’s eye view of the city.
Elephant Falls: Named after an Elephant like stone at its foot, the Elephant Falls are amongst the most popular falls in the North-East, situated next to Shillong. It is a tourists' paradise with three layers of the falls accessible to the layman from different vantage points. The Britishers named this fall so owing to the presence of an elephant-shaped rock on one side of the fall. However, the stone disintegrated and was washed away due to an earthquake in 1897. Elephant Waterfalls is a superb place for spending some time in the midst of nature while capturing the incredible moments for your keepsake.
After that you will see in cherrapunjee the beautiful waterfall known as Nohkhalli.:
Nohkalikai Falls: Nohkalikai Falls is the tallest plunge waterfall in India. Its height is 1115 feet (340 metres). The waterfall is located near Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth. Nohkalikai Falls are fed by the rainwater collected on the summit of a comparatively small plateau and decrease in power during the dry season in December - February. Below the falls there has formed a plunge pool with unusual green colored water.
Mawsmai Cave:You can also explore the caves known as Mawsmai, Mawsmai cave is one of the most popular attractions in Cherrapunji. Mawsmai cave boasts of wide & amazing entry with the dark and magical secrecy inside.
Living Root Bridge :The 30 meters long bridge stands 2400 feet high and is the longest known Living Root Bridge, which also means that to reach the bridge one has to make a steep descent of 2400 feet. Holding the proud distinction of being addressed as one of the most picturesque and beautiful places on earth. The Living Root Bridges are made from rubber tree roots also known as Ficus elastica tree.
Cherrapunjee Eco Park : Designed and maintained by the Government of Meghalaya, Eco Park is one of the popular tourist attractions of Cherrapunjee from where the visitors can enjoy lovely view of the ‘Green Canyons’ of Cherapunji along with the waterfalls that are located nearby. The eco park also has a crystal clear water stream in its boundaries visit.
Then back to shillong and overnight stay.
After early breakfast drive to Mawlynnong – “Asia’s Cleanest Village”. Mawlynnong offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another small rock. Later proceed to Dawki, a small town near India Bangladesh border. Enjoy breathtaking view of the Umangot River. Evening drive back to Shillong. Stay overnight at your hotel in Shillong.
Basistha Temple:The Basistha Temple is among the interesting religious sites in Guwahati and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It was constructed by the Ahom king Rajeshwar Singha in the year 1764. The temple is inside an ashram known as Basistha ashram which is a place of great scenic beauty. It is believed that a sage named Basistha once lived here and today the resting place of the sage is also the place where the ashram is. One of the prime attractions here is a cave where the sage is said to have meditated. There is also a beautiful waterfall here. The Garbhanga Reserve Forest is also near the ashram and is home to many wild animals including elephants.
Umananda Mandir:- Umananda Devaloi is a Shiva temple located at the Peacock Island in the middle of river Brahmaputra just opposite the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup or the Kachari Ghat in Guwahati. It was built by the Ahom King Gadadhar Singha, who was a devout Shaivaite.

Kamakhya Temple - The temple is dedicated to goddess Kamakhya an incarnation of Sati. It is on Nilachal hill, says the Shiva Purana, that the yoni or creative organ of Sati fell when Vishnu, in a bid to save the world from the Shiva’s tandava nrittya or dance of destruction, cut her dead body into 51 pieces with his suddarshan chakra.
